In February 2020, Christmas In Pyrmont generously donated $20,000 to Pyrmont Cares from the November 2019 Christmas In Pyrmont Event. This enabled Pyrmont Cares to continue operations during the year of the pandemic, because Pyrmont Cares’ regular commercial sponsor suspended sponsorship payments for the entire year due to pandemic-driven business reduction.
The CIP donation made it possible for Pyrmont Cares to continue paying its depot rental, vehicle costs and volunteer insurance, which in turn enabled it to continue providing its services to the needy people of Sydney City.
