The Aboriginal Early Years project is an early intervention program that helps parents in the Inner West give their children a good start in life. Family workers provide culturally-appropriate information and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families with children aged 0- 5, around health, development, parenting, local services and support groups. In addition to home visits and Family Centre services, the program undertakes a third of its work in community settings and includes provision of parenting and group work programs, playgroup partnerships and strong integration into community activities and involvement.
