Ultimo Public School

Ultimo Public School is a dynamic and vibrant school situated on the southern fringe of the Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour, the Eora Nation.

Christmas in Pyrmont has actively supported Ultimo Public School for many years and our students have benefited from their very generous donations. Over the years Christmas in Pyrmont has funded numerous small group and whole school programs that have had a significant impact on the learning and wellbeing of our students and the broader local community. More recently, Christmas in Pyrmont donations provided one-to-one support for students with complex needs as well as the funds that were instrumental for the introduction of a Years 3-6 guitar program across the school. 

Ultimo Public School supports 470 wonderfully diverse students and we nurture a sense of belonging, inclusion and participation, where all levels of success are encouraged and celebrated. Our students learn within co-teaching hubs and a culture of high expectations and collaboration supports effective classroom practice, empowering students to be reflective, resilient and confident learners.

Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff maintain high expectations for every student and a focus on instructional leadership supports explicit teaching across the school. Teaching and learning programs are responsive to data and two Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction provide ongoing support to all staff.

At Ultimo Public School there is a strong focus on wellbeing and our students are supported through a range of proactive programs and initiatives which include a school funded Assistant Principal Learning and Wellbeing and School Learning and Support Officers.

Our school enjoys strong partnerships with the local community and we value parental involvement in all areas across the school. We continue to be sincerely grateful for the ongoing support from Christmas in Pyrmont as many of the initiatives they have supported across our school, would not have been possible without them.
