Over one million primary school kids aren’t learning music as part of their education and so the community of Ultimo Public School are committed to making music education accessible to all students.
Ultimo Public School is a dynamic and vibrant school situated on the southern fringe of the Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour, the Eora Nation. Our school supports 450 wonderfully diverse students and we nurture a sense of belonging, creativity and participation.
Music education has the ability to engage our students in learning, develop vital literacy skills, foster a sense of identity and belonging and strengthen wellbeing and resilience.
In 2022 our school has partnered with Amplify to provide weekly, small group tuition to our students. Every child in Years 3-6 engage in the program using their own guitar and they will study and perform a range of musical genres.
All funds donated to our school in 2022 will contribute to making music education possible to all students.
